I have worked in Financial Services since September 1983 starting out as a Home Service insurance agent and working my way through the grades until I was finally appointed Branch Manager in Dumfries in 1993. Following that I had various roles in the industry and eventually became a self employed adviser in October 2002 and have enjoyed helping many people with their mortgage and insurance needs in that time.

Away from work I am married to Margaret and we have 2 married sons who have delighted us with 5 grandchildren with whom we like to spend some time. For the past 20 years I have volunteered with a local football club in Dumfries and have been known to attempt to hit a golf ball. I have a varied musical taste but particularly like to listen to live local music. Margaret and I also like to travel having visited many countries in Europe as well as the United States and Africa.
